Baby Shower Games
It’s not always necessary to play games at a Baby Shower, but it adds to the fun of the occasion. There are literally hundreds of baby shower games to choose from, but here are a few easy and fun favourites to get the party going…
Guess Mummy’s Tummy Size
This is one of the more popular baby shower games. Distribute yarns or balls of strings to the guests. They have to pull outs lengths of string that they believe would represent the size of the mother-to-be’s tummy. After you have collected the strings from all the guests, compare each string with the actual tummy size. The winner will be guest whose string is the closest to the actual size of the tummy.
Guess the Baby Guest
Prior to the shower, ask your guests to bring a baby picture of themselves. Create a "baby match" game. Hold up each baby picture and see if the guests can match it to that guest now. The guest with the most matches is the winner!
Find the Nappy Pins
Fill a large bowl with rice. Mix in a packet of nappy pins in the rice. Blindfold each guest one by one and ask them to find the nappy pins in the bowl. The winner will be the guest who finds the maximum number of nappy pins. Ensure that you replace the pins after each guest has had their turn. Although this game may seem easy, it is very difficult and also a lot of fun.
What’s in the nappy?
Have your guest guess "What’s in the nappy?" Melt or smash different kinds of lollies (m&m's, snickers, skittles, etc) and put into a disposable nappy. Then pass the nappies with the smashed lollies/chocolate sweets in it around the room. Each guest must examine and smell the contents of the nappy to determine what it is. Have each guest write their guesses on a piece of paper. The guest with the most matches is the winner!

Before your baby shower, do an internet search for "popular baby names" to determine what these are. Have your guests guess the 10 most common baby names today. The guest with the most names that match the list is the winner!
